How to fit snow chains?

Take precautions for the freezing season, always carry the chains ready, especially if you live in winter areas.

FITTING SNOW CHAINS

➤Front-wheel drive: As long as the thickness of the snow does not exceed 1.5 cm, on the front wheels (if it exceeds the thickness, mandatory on all 4 wheels). Most of today's cars are front-wheel drive.

➤Rear-wheel drive: As long as the thickness of the snow does not exceed 1 cm only on the rear wheels (if it exceeds the thickness, mandatory on all 4 wheels). Old, high-performance cars and cargo vehicles are usually rear-wheel drive.

➤Four-wheel drive: By law the use of four chains is mandatory in this type of vehicle, in case of failure of one of the four, two are usually placed behind, but it is possible to do it in front to improve steering and braking, although in no case will it be circulated with three.
