The FICC General Assembly has elected the new board for another term with João alves Pereira as President.
On July 30th 2014 was elected the FICC Council board at the General Assembly in Pori, Finland, appointed for the term 2014-2017.
It has to be emphasized that President Joao Alves Pereira, from Portugal, gained the majority of members support on his fourth term since the year 2005; on the other hand, he had been the Chairman of the Youth Commission for many years until he became Council member in 1999. No doubt, he has had a distinguished career in developing a modern Federation and, at the same time, keeping the stability and quality for all its members, as it has been done since 1933.
The total number of candidates were 15; six members of the Council were re-elected (see the table below); the Council incorporated only 3 new councillors, Minna Joensuu, Finland, Gianni Picilli, Italy and Gérard Couté, France. The remaining 5 candidates (from a total of 15) were not elected (see the second table below).
Two Council members did not submit their candidature, Michel Dupuy and José Iglesias González,
