The
81st FICC Rally was celebrated from 24th to 1st
August 2014 in city of Pori, a well known place in Finland for its
Jazz Festival.
The
Rally was located in Kirjurinluoto Park, at 2 km from Pori city
centre.
There
were 437 units in the rally site and 943 participants, 40 clubs and federations from 28 countries.
It should pointed out that once again motorhome units represented the majority of participants.
There was a programme with entertainment for all public, sports competition among participants, musical attractions and even classical concerts (very popular during summer time in Pori).
Young participants had a separate programme with evening disco. Rally site announcements giving instructions on daily programme was done in 3 languages (English, German and French) and, from time to time, even in Spanish.

The
rally site was fine with around 100 square meters per pitch; however, distances
for services such as showers and chemical disposal toilets were far for some people.
Regarding
to restaurants and food service, it was also rather far from the
site; even more, if we thing about the average age of people
attending the Rally, since many of them are well above 65 years old.
Nevertheless, it should be noted that volunteers and organizers made an effort to welcome participants, they kindly answered all questions trying solve the usual problems that may occur in large rallies and, in general, except as mentioned above, the Rally was successful.
