San Sebastián (Donostia in Basque language) is a coastal city and  municipality located in the Basque Autonomous Community, Spain. It lies on the coast of the Bay of Biscay, 20 km from the French border. Capital city of Guipúzcoa (Gipuzkoa in Basque). Locals call themselves donostiarra (singular), both in Spanish and Basque.

The main economic activities are commerce and tourism, and it's one of the most famous tourist destinations in Spain, also very appreciated by foreign tourists. San Sebastián and the Guipúzcoa region have the highest number of restaurants awarded with Michelin stars in the world.
