57th Caravan Salon Düsseldorf (Germany)

More than 600 national and international exhibitors presented their innovations and current styles in 13 halls at the Caravan Salon, as well as in outdoor facilities. Likewise, at least 2100 leisure vehicles were presented.

The 57th edition of the Caravan Salon Düsseldorf, the largest exhibition of leisure vehicles in Europe and one of the largest in the world (motorhomes, caravans, electrical equipment, GPS navigators and much more) with the latest market developments.

The fair has broken all records of attendance, some 232,000 visitors, the organizers are already thinking about 250,000 visitors for next year. One third of these people were visitors for the first time.

In addition to that the leisure vehicles, accessories, technical equipment, spare parts, awnings and mobile homes were presented; all of this was exhibited in more than 214,000 square meters. Furthermore, campsites, motorhome sites and travel destinations were also shown. This year, many professional visitors registered in Asia, Australia and the USA. Also there was a great interest by the media.

The president of the Caravan Salon appreciated a great advance: 
"The good humor between the manufacturers, exhibitors and clients, as well as the amount of sales are first class evidence of the enormous, constant growth and the popularity of Recreational Vehicles", he explained.

"The extraordinary number of sales completed here has far exceeded our expectations and reflects the current market situation, and we are pleased that this has been the largest and best attended Caravan Salon of all time; as a result, we have the most important trade fair in the world", concluded
The president of CIVD hopes to be able to transmit the momentum and the excellent atmosphere within the industry to the business in the fall of 2018.

Hymer was one of the most successful companies in the exhibition
In general, it has been a success for most of the exhibitors. The best placed in transactions was, according to Martin Brandt, chairman of the board of directors of Erwin Hymer Group: 
"We are satisfied with the high attendance figures at CARAVAN SALON and the overwhelming demand for our brands and products. "The most successful commercial year in the history of the Erwin Hymer Group, caravanning is a trend and has now become part of society in general. 
This is also reflected in the noticeably younger audience, with many newcomers. Our commitment to China was also met with great interest, we will continue with these impulses in Düsseldorf and we hope to help our customers enjoy unique experiences of leisure and mobility around the world".
