Pontevedra, Spain, new motorhome stopover in the city - free of charge

After many requests by motorhome users and the regional motorhome club AGA (Galician Association of Motorhomes), a new motorhome stopover will finally be opened in the city of Pontevedra (Galicia, autonomous region), northwestern Spain, 

Galicia is the undiscovered region with beautiful green country side and nice places to stay for motorhomers.

The stopover will start operating from 17 April 2017

The stopover/aire is located next to the so called "Puente de los Tirantes", a suspension bridge, next to river Lerez, the place where international competitions take place, like the European Triatlon.

Is a large área with 40 parking places. The stopover is provided with potable water, grey water disposal and chemical cassette disposal

Is a destination worth staying a few days to visit all the historical center. Apart from that almost all the city is pedestrian (the only one in Spain being totally pedestrian), it is very easy to walk through its streets with great assortment of bars restaurants and shops and, of course, the interesting architectural area can complete the tour.

It is also a city with a long maritime and trading tradition, boasts one of the largest and most elegant historic quarters in the whole of Galicia. Situated on the edge of the estuary of the same name, the old town extends in a network of streets and squares and contains major civic and religious buildings.
