Ceuta (Spain), port and city view |
To promote tourism, Ceuta, Spanish autonomous
city, will have a motorhome stopover, including a parking space, overnight
staying, potable water, chemical and grey water discharge, etc.
According to the town’s Ministry of Tourism, the
parking and service area will be enabled at the port’s dock, known as “Spanish
Dock” (Muelle de España).
Moreover, the Government will publish a
booklet of Ceuta in a few international languages in order to show possibilities and
advantages of traveling by motorhome to Ceuta; also it shall include the
statement of Ceuta's "Friendly city of motorhoming".
It is no coincidence that this occurs because
statistics show that in recent years there has been a significant increase in
traffic of these vehicles in Ceuta; especially given its geographical
situation, since many of these vehicles travel to Morocco.
"Ceuta (Spanish: [ˈθeuta]) is an
18.5-square-kilometre (7.1 sq mi) Spanish city located on the north
coast of Africa,
sharing a western
border with Morocco.
Separated from the Iberian
peninsula by the Strait
of Gibraltar, Ceuta lies along the boundary between
the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic
Ocean. Population: 85.000, approx."
