Motorcaravanning
Germany and France are European leaders in stopovers for motorhomes
At
the CMT (Holiday Exhibition) in Stuttgart, it transpired that Odenwald is the most popular
motorcaravanning region. 33 of Odenwald’s 38 municipalities have announced that
they are prepared to make at least one site available for motorcaravans in
their region in 2013. This is not only good news for tourism, but also for
business in the region’s local shops and restaurants.
An example for others to follow!
France offers motorcaravanners the best deal and the most benefits. It will cost you
on average only €4.55 per night to stay at a French site – it would be hard to
find a better deal anywhere. The reason is that in France one can still find
places to stop overnight for free and there are dedicated motorcaravan sites
that cost less than €10 per night.
Germany comes next with an average price of €6.28. The
most expensive destinations are Sweden, Norway, Croatia and Denmark, because in
these countries motorcaravanners have to rely on small campsites or dedicated
motorcaravan sites.
