During the 7th Retrofestival of Caen, France, the only
motorhome, a Citroen DS Camping Car, was auctioned on 27th June
2015. The main piece of news is that the son of the creator of this unique
vehicle won the auction. This type of alcove or coachbuilt motorhome was very
popular during the 90’s in France.
This interesting motorhome Citroen DS Camping Car
(which is already part of the vintage motorhome history) was designed 38 years
ago by Denis Bindet, a coachbuilder of Saint Hilaire du Harcouët, Lower
Normandy, France.
It was sold to highest bidder, Mr. Vincent Bindet.
The motorhome was finally granted at the price of €
12,000 to Mr. Vincent Bindet, who won the auction. Indeed, Vincent Bindet born
just behind the bodywork shop where his father built the motorhome. He will
be the fourth owner; returning, after 38 years, to it's original home.
