It is worth noting that the participation of motor caravanners was over 40% in the total number of units. The increase it is already a fact that is repeated year after year, in all events organized by the FICC.
The Rally was held in a luxury camping site in the north of Croatia, Istria region, bordering Slovenia and near Trieste, Italy. The truth is that the place of the rally had more facilities than one could expect in events of this kind, swimming pools, tennis courts, beach, restaurants, bars, ATMs, supermarket, fruit and vegetable stalls and general information for those who were interested in visiting other parts of Croatia and a lot more; all found in the camping site.

The Rally participants had musical groups and live entertainment daily, as well as excursions to various points of Croatia. Certainly, we can say that Croatia is a very interesting tourist destination, attractive places such as Dubrovnik, Split, Zadar, Sibenik, Trogir and Korcula (an island where Marco Polo lived –some historians even believed that he was born there).

Croatia is very much influenced by Italian and Austrian culture; Italian, German and even English languages are spoken; street names may appear in both Croatian and Italian languages. Throughout the Croatian coast there are important monuments of Roman origin and also the remnants of the Austro- Hungarian Empire.

Motor caravanners traveling to Croatia should be aware that there are no stopovers or rest areas as in other European countries; camp sites are normally used for this purpose, rarely paid parking for overnight stay could be found (usually outdoors).

On the other hand, if you travel to Croatia, you need to drive through Slovenia (recommended route), do not forget to buy a sticker to use on the motorway for the required time (7 days, a month or a year). We suggest that you use the motorway, driving by ordinary roads in Croatia may be complicated.

If you park incorrectly, as a rule, vehicles tend to be immobilized by applying a trap to the wheel, which means that recovering your vehicle will only be possible by paying the resulting fine.

However, taking into account the above recommendations, we repeat that it is worthwhile and very interesting to visit Croatia.
